About US
We have been raising Olde English Bulldogges for about 4 years now.  We have learned a lot about this rare breed and are excited to see it expand in Canada.
We live on a small farm in central Alberta.  We can be found most days trying to keep up with our children, playing with our dogs, renovating our old farm house and coping with life's ups and downs.

Our biggest struggle to date has been coping with our daughter illness.  Jaymie is 10 years old and at 4 she was diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disorder called Evan's Syndrome.  In simple terms when she is exposed to a virus, her immune system will attack the virus plus a part of her blood either her red blood cells or her platelets.  The treatment for this is usually a transfusion of different blood products or full blood.  Jaymie is also treated with high dose steroids which cause all sorts of horrible side effects.
The reason we tell people about Jaymie's illness is to promote awareness of the need for people to donate blood.  So we ask of everyone, if you are able to, please donate blood, it has truly saved our daughter's life too many times to count.

Now about the DOGS
Olde English Bulldogges are often confused with English Bulldogs.  There is a huge difference.  Oldies (as the are often referred to), are a re-creation of the 1800's style of bulldog.  The reasoning behind the breed development is that people love English Bulldogs, but the breed is fraught with health issues.  Oldies are very healthy and active.
There is a lot of controversy about the original line and others using the same formula to start their own line.  But we do not get into that!  We are just happy to have what we have and we know they are awesome.
The best source of information about the breed has been the International Olde English Bulldogge Association based out of California.  This is also the registry that we use for all of our dogs.  I would highly recommend that anyone interested in this breed to go to this web site, look around and post any questions on the message board.  There are a lot of very knowledgable people on there that are more then happy to talk about the breed.  Of course I am always more then happy to educate anyone about the breed as well.
